Roof Replacement
Your roof replacement includes a full-system install: ice and water shield at eaves, valleys, and penetrations; synthetic underlayment across the entire deck; aluminum drip edge at rake and eave; starter strip with sealant; architectural shingles with 130+ mph wind rating; and continuous ridge vent for proper attic ventilation. We also install new pipe boots and vent flashing on every penetration.

Roof Repair
Our roof repair process: inspect the issue, identify the root cause, quote the fix, do the work, warranty the repair. Simple. If the root cause is widespread (poor ventilation causes ice dams, for example), we'll recommend addressing that too. But the choice is always yours.

Standing seam metal with Kynar 500 PVDF fluoropolymer finish. The gold standard for color retention and chalk resistance. We install Sheffield Metals and McElroy Metal panels in 24-gauge Galvalume steel. UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance (qualifies for insurance discounts in most West Virginia markets). UL 790 Class A fire rating. Wind uplift rated to 140+ mph per ASTM E1592 testing. Concealed Z-clips allow thermal expansion without stress on fasteners. That's what makes standing seam leak-proof.

Shingle Roofing
GAF Timberline HDZ. The best-selling shingle in North America. With StrikeZone nailing area for consistent fastener placement. Class A fire rating per UL 790, Class 4 impact resistance per UL 2218 (when installed in the GAF Roof System), and Class H wind rating per ASTM D7158 (130 mph). We install Timberline in the full GAF system to qualify for Golden Pledge warranty: 25-year non-prorated workmanship plus 50-year materials with WindProven limited wind warranty (no max speed). That warranty is why we recommend GAF for most Sod homes.

Flat Roofing
TPO single-ply membrane in 60-mil or 80-mil thickness, fully adhered or mechanically attached over minimum R-25 polyiso insulation. Hot-air welded seams tested with a probe at every joint. We install per NRCA and manufacturer specifications with tapered ISO insulation creating minimum 1/4" per foot positive drainage. Ponding water is the number one cause of flat roof failure in Sod. Tapered insulation eliminates it. FM 4473 rated systems available for hail-prone areas. Fully warranted by Carlisle, Firestone, or GAF.

Gutter Installation
Half-round copper gutters with round downspouts are the premium install for historic and high-end homes in Sod. We solder every joint on-site with 50/50 tin-lead solder. Copper weathers to a green patina in West Virginia's climate over 5-7 years. For modern aluminum installs, we use Spectra Metals .027 gauge seamless stock in 25+ color options with Raytec hidden hangers rated to 25 lbs per linear foot of combined debris and ice load.

Emergency Roof Repair
